“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorships

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Prince Kavai

Age: 5

Prince lives in rural Kenya and has cerebral palsy.

Prince was born via cesarean section at the hospital. He had breathing difficulties immediately and was placed on oxygen in the nursery. Prince later showed delays in his developmental milestones and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. He is currently in the care of his paternal grandparents who are small scale farmers. The grandparents have benefited from CDFI’s microenterprise programs. With the help of a sponsor, Prince will continue to receive the home based care and support he requires, attend occupational therapy, receive medical care, and have the opportunity to reach his full potential.
