“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Everlyne Awinja

Age: 18

Everlyne lives in rural Kenya and has hydrocephalus and spina bifida.

Everlyne is the first born in her family and has one younger brother. She was born with hydrocephalus and spina bifida and was delivered via cesarean section. Evelyn immediately began therapy clinics at the hospital after she was born. Everlyne’s father has passed away, and she lives under the care of her widowed mother who runs a small scale business. Her mother has benefited from CDFI’s microenterprise programs. Everlyne’s brother loves to feed and play with her. Everlyne loves to listen to music and loves people. With the help of a sponsor, Everlyne will continue to receive home based care and support, advocacy in her community, and will have the opportunity to reach her full potential.
