“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love. and together we can do something wonderful.”
– Mother Teresa
Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.
For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.
Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.
Hope Zoe Tumaini
Hope lives in rural Kenya and has autism.
Hope lives with autism and was abandoned at the Vihiga Referral Funeral Home. CDFI staff gave her the name Hope Zoe Tumaini. Zoe means "the God kind life" and Tumaini means "Hope" in Swahili. Hope now lives at the CDFI Foster Home. She is very playful and loves to be carried. With the help of a sponsor, Hope will continue to receive home based care and have the opportunity to reach her full potential.
