“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorships

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Mark Otenga

Age: 12

Mark lives in rural Kenya and is visually impaired.

Mark lives with both of his parents, who are casual laborers. He lost his eye while playing with a metallic rod, which hit his eye causing partial blindness. His eye later had to be removed. Mark attends Mumboha Primary School and is in Grade 3. He loves to play soccer with his friends. His best friend at school is named Kevin. They like to play together and share snacks, ice cream and pens. With the help of a sponsor, Mark will continue to attend his school, receive the advocacy and medical support he needs, and will have the opportunity to reach his full potential.
