“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.”
– Mother Teresa
Sponsorships
Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.
For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.
Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.
Calmax Otiato
Age: 12
Calmax lives in rural Kenya and has albinism.
Calmax lives with both of his parents, who are small scale farmers, and with his two siblings. He was born with albinism. Calmax loves to play with toy cars and balls. With the help of a sponsor, Calmax will continue to attend the St. Oda Special School for the Visually Impaired, will receive the advocacy and medical support he needs, and will have the opportunity to reach his full potential. He will also benefit from awareness activities meant to educate communities on albinism, prevent discrimation, and protect children living with the condition.
