“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Maureen Mijide

Age: 17

Maureen lives in rural Kenya and has hydrocephalus.

Maureen was born in a family of six and lives with both of her parents who are small scale farmers. She was diagnosed with hydrocephalus at birth, and now attends monthly clinics. Maureen loves to play with her pet (a rabbit). With the help of a sponsor, Maureen will continue to attend the Daisy Special School, receive the advocacy and medical support she needs, and have the opportunity to reach her full potential.
