“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love. and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Laventine Kaugani

Age: 13

Laventine lives in rural Kenya and has cerebral palsy.

Laventine lives with her widowed mother (her father died when she was seven years old). She eats and writes using her feet because she is unable to use her hands. Laventine has a wheelchair that she is able to use for mobility, however she needs one that would enable her to write and eat comfortably. Laventine loves to play with balls. Her friends throw the balls at her and she loves to kick them back. With the help of a sponsor, Laventine will continue to attend the Joyland Special School, receive the advocacy and medical support she needs, and will have the opportunity to reach her full potential.
