“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Brighton Mwendwa

Age: 15

Brighton lives in rural Kenya and has a physical disability.

Brighton lives with both of his parents and with his three siblings. He was born healthy, however as he grew his parents noticed that he had very stiff limbs. Therapy did not help Brighton, and now both of his legs and his left arm are paralized. He has undergone two corrective limb surgeries but has experienced very minimal improvement. Brighton’s parents do menial tasks for a living. Brighton loves to play with toy cars, and attends the Womulalu Special School. With the help of a sponsor, Brighton will continue to attend his school, will receive the advocacy and medical support he needs, and will have the opportunity to reach his full potential.
