“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love. and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Sheryl Amondi

Age: 15

Sheryl is 15 years old and lives with cerebral palsy.

Sheryl lives with both of her parents. Her mother works as a house help, and her father is disabled due to an accident. Sheryl was diagnosed with malaria when she was six years old. Her healing from the disease was slow, and she eventually lost speech and experienced a regression in her development. She was later diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Sheryl is completely dependent on a caregiver, even at her school. She loves to receive complements and enjoys listening to music. With the help of a sponsor, Sheryl will continue to attend the Joyland Special School, and have the opportunity to reach her full potential.
