“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Lavine Irusa

Age: 10

Lavine lives in rural Kenya and has cerebral palsy.

Lavine lives with both of her parents, who are casual laborers. She was born at Mukumu Hospital via caesarian section. Lavine experienced delayed development, and was diagnosed with Menengitis when she was 3 years old. Later, she was diagnosed with cerbral palsy. Lavine loves to play with dolls. Lavine attends the Nyabondo Rehabilitation Centre, and is currently waiting to receive a wheelchair. With a sponsor's help, Lavine will receive the healthcare she requires, and have the opportunity to reach her full potential.
