“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Lydia Kipchirchir

Age: 13

Lydia lives in rural Kenya and has a visually impaired.

Lydia lives with her aging grandmother. Her mother works as a housekeeper in Nairobi. Lydia was born normally and for her first three years she was able to see. At the age of 4, Lydia developed eye problems and despite treatment, lost her sight completely. She is in first grade, and with a sponsor's help Lydia will continue to attend St. Oda School for the Visually Impaired where she will have the opportunity to learn and reach her full potential.
