“We cannot all do great things, but we can do small things with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.”

– Mother Teresa

Sponsorship has the power to change the life of a child living with special needs in Kenya, and to provide critical support to families caring for children with disabilities.

For just $50 a month, you’ll help an extremely vulnerable child to receive medical attention (includes all regular care as well as any therapy or surgery), appropriate educational placement when possible, home based care and support to families, and advocacy in their community. Most importantly, you’ll be showing God’s love in a personal way to a special child.

Below, meet the children who are waiting to be sponsored by someone like you.

Dorcus Ayuma

Age: 13

Dorcus lives in rural Kenya and has cerebral palsy.

Dorcus lives with her single mother and a sibling. Her father abandoned the family upon realizing that Dorcus was living with Cerebral Palsy. Dorcus' mother is a casual laborer and lives in the slums of Majengo in Vihiga county. Dorcus was born at home and had delayed milestones. When she was taken to hospital, she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. With a sponsor's help, Dorcus will continue to attend the Joyland Special School, where she will have the opportunity to learn and reach her full potential.
